Janice Irene (Ulrich) Lord, age 79 of Brush, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Janice was born February 13, 1928 in Big Springs, NE to Herbert & Irene (Rochlitz) Ulrich. She met the love of her life in San Francisco, CA while she was working for United Airlines and Bob was in the Navy. On December 1, 1956 Jan was united in marriage to Bobbie Lord. After Bob was discharged from the Navy they moved to Big Springs, NE for a short time and then to Englewood, CO where they raised their family. After they retired they moved to Fort Morgan.

Jan enjoyed gardening and each spring she would fill her yard with flowers. Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-great grandmother and she will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Lord; a brother, Pete (Dee) Ulrich of Ogallala, NE; three sons, Michael (Cindy) Lord of Aurora, CO, Shawn Lord of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Todd (Denise) Lord of Thornton, CO; one daughter, Pam (Rick) Hinojos of Snyder, CO, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert & Irene Ulrich; a brother, Willard Ulrich; and a sister, Elsie Burges.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 24th from 5 – 7 PM at the Heer Mortuary in Brush.

A funeral service will be Thursday, May 25th at 11:00 AM at Christ's Church, 330 State Street in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the church. Interment will take place in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver at a later date.
