Janice C. Norrish, 69, passed away Friday evening at her home in Fort Morgan. She was born October 20, 1938, in Denver to Estel & Garnet Stevens. She graduated from Hudson, CO, High School in 1956. She attended Colorado Women's College and later Western State College. On January 4, 1959, Janice married Donald Norrish in Hudson. In 1970 the Norrish family moved to Fort Morgan. She worked several campaigns at the sugar factory. Later she worked in the banking profession. She was one of the co-founders and served as Cashier of the Fort Morgan State Bank. Janice was a member of the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church, Red Hats, Weight Watchers, and sang with the "Glory Bees". She enjoyed playing bridge, camping and spending time in the mountains, and dancing. Her favorite time was spent with family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Donald of Fort Morgan; 2 children, Kerri Tuey, and her husband, Bo, of Fort Morgan and Stewart Norrish, and his wife, Kora, of Brush; 1 sister, Joan Johnston of Greeley; 2 brothers, Jack Stevens of Grand Junction, CO, and Jerry Stevens of Denver; a special friend and her care-taker during her illness, Peggy Perkins, and 4 grandchildren, Sommer Bellender, Shay Tuey, Krista Norrish, and Kendall Norrish. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church, 117 E. Bijou Street in Fort Morgan. Concluding service and interment will be a Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley at 2:30 PM. The Heer Mortuaries & Crematory are entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
