Janice Arlene Pflager passed away in her home, as she would've wanted, on Thursday, August 8th, 2024, in Fort Morgan, Colorado. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Heer Mortuary with a graveside service to follow.

Janice was born in Greeley, Colorado on May 22, 1941, to George and Dorothy Regan.  Janice was one of five kids growing up modestly, which shaped her to always look at the small things in life and enjoy every moment. Janice was lucky enough to meet the love of her life, Robert Dale Pflager, at the young age of 15. They were married June 2,1957 and spent 64 years together painting a picture of how love, hard work, trust, and teamwork will stand the test of time.  They raised 3 kids together while they built their life surrounded by friends and family in Fort Morgan.

Janice relished being a homemaker. She was a devoted mother and wife, and her passion was raising her children and building her home. It could be argued that her true calling in life was being a grandmother. A day or night at grandma's house could cure any ailment, and you never had any doubt that she loved you unconditionally. Time with Grandma was truly a treasure. Outside of being with her family, Janice could be found on the golf course, bowling with friends, or gambling from Blackhawk to Laughlin. She was an avid historian and enjoyed researching genealogy and history, with the occasional hunt for lost treasure. Putting to practice her love of history, Janice was instrumental in founding the Dave Hamil Museum in Sterling, Colorado.

Janice is survived by her three children Sherri (Brett) Nikont, Kent (Jan) Pflager, and Kerri (Howard) Staff, and her brothers Ken and Jim Regan. She had a tremendous impact on the lives of her nine grandchildren Corey (Janelle) Nikont, Coty (Alli) Nikont, Cami (Charlie) Cunningham, Kali Rinne, Calby Pflager, Amanda (Jay) Carpenter, Tanner (Jesel) Pflager, Alyssa Rios, Karly Pflager Mcfarland (Trenten Forbes) and her fourteen great-grandchildren. Janice was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, and proceeded in death by her mother, father, brother Richard Regan, sister Joann Davis, and grandson Sean Mcfarland.
