Jason J. Greenwood, 37, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at the University Medical Center in Denver following a lengthy illness. He was born September 26, 1973, in Aurora, to Morris & Emma Greenwood. Jason served in the US Army having served in the Iraqi war, and following his discharge the US Army National Guard. He loved serving in the US Army. He was a member of the VFW and was a disable veteran. He was an avid target shooter and enjoyed working with guns. He also enjoyed automotive mechanics. Survivors include his parent, Morris & Emma Greenwood of Weldona; 3 daughters, McKenzie, Megan and Nadia; his brother James Greenwood of Sterling, CO; and his Maternal Grandmother, June Fenn of Fort Morgan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas; his maternal grandfather and his paternal grandparents. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 9:00 AM at St. Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. The service will conclude at the church with military honors by the US Army Honor Guard. Private inurnment will be in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Friday from 5 – 7 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Morgan County Relay for Life c/o the Heer & Dahl Mortuary
