JB Johnson , 87, of Ft. Morgan died Monday morning at the Hospice & Palliative Care Center in Greeley. He was born to Herbert and Sarah (Davis) Johnson on December 26, 1918 in Yale, Oklahoma. He served in the United States army during WWII, serving as an airplane mechanic. He owned and operated the JB Johnson Dozer Service doing oilfield construction until he retired in 1983. He was a member of the BPOE # 1143, the American Legion Post # 0019 and the El Jebel Shrine. He enjoyed bowling, gambling, golfing, boating & fish, and traveling. He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Reyman of Burlington, one son, Robert L. Johnson of Greeley, 3 granddaughters, and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna, 2 brothers Bill, and Elmer Johnson, 4 half brothers, Charlie, Tom, Harold, and Jr. Norris and his parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-6 pm at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary In Ft. Morgan. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the mortuary chapel. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. The V.F.W. # 2551 will conduct military honors.
