Jean Lemberg, 82, longtime area resident, died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. Jean was born September 1, 1930 in Snyder, Colorado to Mack and Goldie (Hendrix) McCracken. She married Benhard Lemberg on March 14, 1971. He died in 1992. Jean was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include daughters, Vi Sherratt and husband, Dale, of Longmont, Lena Ragsdale of Brush, Iva Cookson and husband, Chad, of Greeley; sisters, Doris Gard and Paulette McCracken, both of Rapid City, South Dakota, Jane Eicher of Loveland, and Verlie Pickell of Greeley; brothers, Bill McCracken of Fort Morgan and Jim McCracken of Grants Post, Oregon; nine grandchildren, Paul, Mandy, Gina, Alexandra, Willy, Alicia, Louis, Samantha, and Donald and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benhard, her daughter, Lea McDaniel, a sister, Libby Raywald, two brothers, Jack and Melburn McCracken and her parents. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Morgan Nazarene Church in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at the Akron Cemetery in Akron, Colorado. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of one's choice.
