JEAN OWEN, 84, longtime Fort Morgan resident, took the outstretched hand of her Lord and Savior and passed away peacefully at her home on July 17, 2011. Jean was born September 29, 1926 in Grantsburg, WI to William & Vera (Olson) Amundson. She married Richard E. Owen in 1946. Mrs. Owen was of strong Christian faith. She loved her family and God's creatures. She was a friend to all that knew her because of her love and compassion. Survivors include her children, Drena Robertson & Terry of Aurora, Rick Owen & Barbara of Arvada, and Tracy Lancaster of Fort Morgan. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, Jason Robertson, Mark Robertson & Naesa, Aubrey Lorenzini & Jason, Audra Unrein & Chad, and Bryce Owen and Blake Owen; three great grandsons, Jaiden, Liam, and Owen Robertson. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard E. Owen, her parents; her brother, Dennis, and a host of family and friends. Funerals services will be Friday, July 22nd at 11:00 AM at the United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the church. Interment services will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Stage C, in Denver on Monday, July 25th at 10:15 AM. Memorial gifts may be made to the United Presbyterian Church or to the Humane Society.
