Obituary

Jeanette Eileen Teter, 80, life resident of Morgan County, passed away November 27, 2020, in Greeley, CO.  She was born in Brush on September 24, 1940, to Joe I. & Elsie Cox.

Jeanette graduated from Hillrose High School.  On April 12, 1959, she married her high school sweetheart, Melvin Teter, in Hillrose.

Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was an avid golfer, enjoyed working in her flower garden, and cooking her famous zucchini bread, cabbage pockets, peanut brittle, and pudding cookies for all of her friends and family.  She loved playing her organ and working puzzles.  She always had a smile on her face and had a great sense of humor.  She will be dearly missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Mel Teter of Brush; her son Jeff (Sheri) of Hillrose; her daughter Stacey (Shawn) Garrett of Amarillo, TX; her grandchildren, Spencer Garrett, Shawna Landin, Tristan Teter and Lane Teter; great grandchildren Exzabier Garrett, Trenton Garrett, Rosanne Garrett, Jay Landin, and Thatcher Teter; 2 sister, Pat Emhovick and Roberta Collier; 1 brother Ted Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Cox and her parents.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush.  Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the Heer Chapel in Brush on Friday, December 11 from 3– 5 PM.  Social Distancing and PPE as preferred by those attending will be the order of the day.
