Obituary

Jeffrey Tyle Big Beaver, 39, passed away Friday, September 22, 2006, at his apartment in Brush, CO. He was born March 21, 1967, in Great Falls, MT. He came to live at the home of Arthur & Sue Solberg of Malta, MT on their family farm on September 6, 1972. He wnt through school in Malta and attended the Elim Lutheran Brethern Church. He chose to attend the Hillcrest LLutheran Academy in Fergus Falls, MN for his Junior and Senior years, graduating in 1987. He enjoyed art, football, cros-country running, playing his trombone in the band, pep band, and jazz band, working on the family farm with his Dad and Brother, driving tractor and truck and spenidng time with family and friends. During his high school years. Jeffrey gave his heart and life to the Lord. He had traiing at the Helena Vo-Tech Center in 1987. He joined the National Guards in 1988. Later he moved to Denver to study at the Denver Institute of Art in 1991. He was married to Tammie Murphey for three years. Their twins were born August 12, 1993, a son Torrance and daugher Jamice. Baby Torrance passed away on December 16, 1993. He moved to Brush caring for residents in a special needs facility and later entered Ezen Ezer Lutheran Care Center in 1996 due to his own health challenges. He was a caring friend to residnts and staff. He worked at on-line classes in art and computers, led art classes for the residents, and was an advocate for gaining public diabled access. Jeff kept a positive and strong attitude and rose above the challenges of his life. Jeff enjoyed art, music, computers, and time spent with family and friends. He will be rememberd for his simle, laugh, humor and gift for getting along with people of all ages. He put great time and energy into his sketches and paintings throughout his life. He placed much are and pride in each piece often times keeping a certain person in mind to give it to. He cared about his realationships with family and friends more than material possessions. He was a member of the Blackfeet Indian Tribe in Browning, MT. He dearly loved his daughter, Jamice, and was always proud of her. Survivors include his daughter, Jamice Murphey of Sterling, CO; his parents, Arthur and Sue Solberg of Malta, MT; a brother, Roger Solberg of Malta, MT; 3 sisters, Mrs. Bruce Barron of Palmdale, CA, Mrs. Adam Sinnema of Bryan, TX, and Deborah Solberg of Malta, MT; his great grandmother, Joanna Pual of Malta, MT.; 2 brothers, William & John Big Beaver, and 2 sisters, Laura & Verna Big Beaver. He was preceded in death by his son, his father, George Bib Beaver, and his mother, Evanaline Big Beaver. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM at the All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer. Interment will be in the Joes, CO, cemetery by his son, Torrance.
