Jenell Annett Kliesen, 52, of Fort Morgan, died Sunday, May 4, 2014. She was born May 4, 1962 in Hugo, CO to Raymond & Margie (Elliott) Thompson. Jenell graduated from Genoa High School and then pursued her Associates Degree in accounting from Northeastern Junior College in Sterling. Jenell married Giles Kliesen on September 24, 1982 in Genoa. They moved to Fort Morgan from Hugo in 1992. Time spent with family was priority in Jenell's life. Her grandchildren were the light of her world and her daughters were the love of her life. She especially enjoyed gardening and helping with 4-H club activities. Jenell is survived by her husband, Giles Kliesen of Fort Morgan; her four daughters, Kara Dorsey and her husband, Brian of Arvada, Raymi Kliesen and her fiancé, Jared Newton of Denver, and Jaymi Kliesen and Shelbee Kliesen, both of Fort Morgan. Jenell is also survived by her grandchildren, Gavyn Dorsey and Grayce Dorsey of Arvada; her parents, Raymond and Margie Thompson of Genoa; her brothers, Lawn Thompson and his wife, Jane, and Todd Thompson and his wife, Jeanne, all of Genoa; and her sister, Linnea Zeschin and her husband, Lenny of Limon, 6 nephews, 1 great niece, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Jenell was preceded in death by her sister, Valerie Thompson. Memorial services will be Friday, May 9th at 2:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Memorial gifts may be made to the Jenell Kliesen Memorial Fund and sent to Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701. Funds will be used for Shelbee's future education.
