Former Colorado resident Jens Allen "Chris" Christensen, died April 1st 2015, at his home in Fort Morgan, Colorado. His services will be held at the Elks Lodge in Fort Morgan on April 9th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. MST. All are welcomed to attend. The family asks attendees to bring a dish of their choosing. Jens Allen Christensen was born on August 12, 1939 in Lubbock, TX to E.A. and Berthea Christensen. He was subsequently adopted by L.R. and Vivian Christensen of Fort Morgan, CO. Jens was a very willful child, a trait that would follow him through the entirety of his life. His desire to serve his country and see the world compelled him to enlist in the United States Navy where he served on The USS Bonhomme Richard. Jens married Irene Harris, a union which produced three beloved children. After his service, Jens worked as a cowboy, a childhood dream of his, for several years. He met and married Sandra Busby, and the relationship lasted over forty years. The marriage saw the addition of three more children to Jens' family. Both Jens and his wife worked as small business owners for nearly thirty years in the Fort Morgan area, operating C&C Bailbonds together until their retirement. Jens is preceded in death by his parents E.A. and Berthea Christensen and L.R. & Vivian Christensen in addition to his wife, Sandra Christensen, his daughter, Lorna Kishimoto, and grandson, Cody Kishimoto. Jens is survived by his daughters, Cindy Christensen and Carrie Mehling; his sons, Tom, Christopher, and David Christensen, and a host of grandchildren.
