Jeremy
Garvik
Feb 8, 1971 — Nov 25, 2024
Brush
The Lord called Jeremy home on November 25, 2024. He suffered from the effects of Muscular Dystrophy before losing his battle with pneumonia.
Jeremy was born on February 8, 1971, at Great Lakes Naval Hospital in Illinois to Larry Garvik and Sheryl (Gardner) Garvik.
Jeremy grew up in Fort Morgan and was in the class of 1989 at Fort Morgan High School. He spent his adult years in Brush where he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Jeremy married Rosie Brunson on August 22, 1989. They were blessed with a son, Gregory, on January 22, 2003.
Jeremy dedicated many years to the plumbing and HVAC industry until his disability led him to retire. Known for his great sense of humor, he loved making everyone laugh. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his son, Gregory, who was the light of his life. Jeremy cherished their conversations about work and life and never missed a chance to express how proud he was of Gregory.
Jeremy is survived by his son, Gregory Garvik; his former spouse, Rosie Garvik; sister, Jaime (Ben) Brunner; mother, Sheryl Garvik; aunts, Sharon (Gary) Wilson, Shianne DeTamble; nieces, Ali, Hailey, and Kenedi Brunner; and cousin, Dawnell (Aaron) Dunihoo. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Garvik; grandparents, Marvin & Louise Gardner, and Ray & Aryleen Garvik; and cousins, Ryan Quint, and Michele Blake.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 340 Stanford Street in Brush. Jeremy will be buried in Brush Memorial Cemetery, next to his grandparents.
