Jerry L. Strauch, 69, life resident of the Brush community, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the TRU Hospice of North Colorado in Greeley. He was born January 3, 1948, in Brush to Herb & Alberta Strauch.

Jerry graduated from Brush High School in 1966 and NJC in Sterling in 1969.

On September 27, 1975, Jerry married Debbie Wood.

Jerry worked several different jobs over his working career. He worked for the State of Colorado in the Weights & Measurements division; he was in business with his Dad as they operated Ackley Building Center and Herb's Hay Stacking; served as manager of the Sterling Agri-Chem plant; worked in the fertilizer division of Farmland CO-OP, and was a loader operator and pile ground supervisor for Western Sugar. His last job was working for Curt & Deb Poitz Farms.

Jerry enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR racing, and sharing a toddy with his friends.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie of Brush; 1 daughter, Lindsey and her son Benjamin; 2 sons, Jason (Amanda Slezak) and Kevin and his children Ryan & Millie; and 1 sister, Rosanne (Dean) Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Diedre.

A memorial service will be held at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Monday, August 7 at 2:00 PM. The service will conclude at the mortuary. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Jerry Strauch Memorial Fund c/o the Heer Mortuary.
