Obituary

Jesus M. Granillo, 83, longtime area resident, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. He was born on April 3, 1932 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Lucio Granillo and Angela Salcido. Jesus was a member of Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. He enjoyed guns, going dancing, and wearing his suits. He loved his family and they were very important to him. Survivors include, sons, Jesus Granillo, of Fort Morgan, Jose Granillo (Carmen) of Loredo, Texas, Alfredo Granillo (Martha)of Greeley, and Ruben Granillo (Erica) of Fort Morgan, daughters, Marguarita Granillo (Carlos) of Fort Morgan, Maria Guadalupe Granillo (Salvador Trevizo) of Greeley, and Maria Rosario Granillo of Fort Morgan, one sister, Luzelena Granillo, one brother, Ricardo Granillo both of Chihuahua, Mexico, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Jesus was preceded in death by his wife Carmen Maldonado, brothers and sisters, Leopoldo Granillo, Vidal Granillo, Isaias Granillo, Maria Granillo, Manuela Granillo, Bertha Granillo, and Carmen Granillo, and his parents. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. There will be a Rosary Vigil following the visitation starting at 6:00 pm at the mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 10:00 am at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
