Jesus "Chuy"
Ibarra
Nov 13, 1996 — Aug 22, 2021
Brush
Jesus "Chuy" Ibarra, 24, of Fort Morgan, died Sunday, August 22, 2021 as a result of a car accident.
Chuy was born November 13, 1996 in Fort Morgan to Laura Valles Ibarra & Indalecio Ibarra. He attended local area schools and graduated from Fort Morgan High School with the class of 2015. During high school, Chuy was active in football and wrestling. He was especially passionate about wrestling from the time he was a child; beginning to wrestle at the age of five, and continuing throughout high school when he also participated at the state level.
After high school, Chuy attended Northwest Technical College in Goodland, KS where he studied in the Electrical Technology Program. He was excited about becoming an Electrician and recently became an Electrical Apprentice. While pursuing his career, Chuy was also currently employed at Leprino Foods in Fort Morgan.
Chuy took a great interest in cars and trucks and recently became involved with Ultimate Truck Club, a local club for people passionate about automobiles, working on becoming a no profit organization.
A young man so full of life, Chuy will be remembered as a helpful, caring person with a huge heart and a huge personality, just like his stature. He was always happy and he always carried a smile on his face to match his funny sense of sarcastic humor. His larger-than-life smile was unlike any other and was often contagious to those around him. He loved music and loved to sing and dance. His family was very important to him and whatever event the family had going on, Chuy always made it important to include the kids. He loved to play marbles and card games, often cheating rather than "playing", his family recalls with a few good laughs.
Chuy leaves behind his parents, Laura Ibarra and Indalecio Ibarra, both of Brush; his siblings, Jordan Galvin of Sterling, and Jessica, Rafi, Nathalee, Diego, and Zsusie Ibarra, all of Brush; and his grandparents, Aurelia Valles of Greeley and Lauro & Guadalupe Ibarra of Texas. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and tons of friends that Chuy loved very much also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his greatest rival in marbles and cards, his grandfather, Aurelio Valles.
Visitation for Chuy will be Tuesday, August 31 st from 3 – 6 PM with recitation of The Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM, both at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, September 1 st at 10:30 AM, also at the church. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
