Jimmy D. Foley of Fort Morgan, CO died Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.  He was 83.  He was born in Littlefield, Texas July 22, 1939 to parents Arthur and Gladys Foley.

He attended Littlefield High School and continued to keep in touch with friends he went to school with.  After working for Pioneer Natural Gas for several years, Jimmy was employed in the oilfield most of the years before he retired.

Jim was interested in history, particularly Texas history and stories about his ancestors. He also spent a lot of time remodeling family houses and enjoyed working in the garage tinkering with motors and engines. One of his wishes was to visit as many of the National Parks as he could and spent several vacations travelling to see them.

The grandkids and great grandkids made him happy. He was willing to brag about them to anyone who would listen.

He is survived by his wife Virginia, two daughters Shelby Foley Geist (Donald) and Cheryl Foley Gimbel (Ron). Six grandchildren: Ashley Geist Clayton (Justin), Trevor Geist (Danielle), Britt Geist Smith (Brett), Miranda Geist Foss (Darin), Haley Gimbel and Derek Gimbel as well as six great grandchildren and a sister Billie Owens and brother Bobby Foley and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his sister JoNell Foley Leavelle and brother Arthur Earl Foley.

A private service will be held.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.
