JOAN PARKER, 65, of Fort Morgan, died Monday afternoon at the Medical Center of The Rockies in Loveland. She was born October 24, 1943 in Brush to J. Charles Jr. & Lydia (Begole) Parker. She was a Court Clerk for the 13th Judicial District for 29 years. Miss. Parker was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan where she was current Treasurer and Organist. She had also held many other positions in the church in the past. She was involved with the United Methodist Women, Platte Avenue Social Hour, and the Fort Morgan Hospital Auxiliary and was a lifelong member of the democratic party. She enjoyed traveling, music, and playing bridge. She taught piano lessons and had belonged to three different bridge clubs. She is survived by her brother, Warren Parker and his wife Olivia; two nephews, W. Bradley Parker and his wife Dianne and James Parker and his wife Jennifer; and her close friend, Earleen Oswalt, all of Fort Morgan. In addition, Miss. Parker is survived by hundreds of extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be Friday, July 10, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
