Obituary

Joan Webb, 77, a long time Brush resident, passed away peacefully at East Morgan County Hospital on January 3rd 2017.

Memorial services will be held Thursday January 12th 2017 at Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan at 11:00 am.

Joanne Marie (Stapleton) Webb was born October 18th 1939 to Francis E and Theresa A. (Kilps) Stapleton in North Lake, Wisconsin, she was the 6th of ten children. Catherine Jahnke, Elvira Kopshinsky, Lucille Jensen, Roger Stapleton, Margagh Smith, Walter Stapleton, Geraldine Drews, Beverly Stapleton and Charolette Spengler. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Waukesha WI through the 11th grade. Joan was a fun loving child, she and her siblings enjoyed many activities, one of their favorites was roller skating. Joan, and her brother Wally, loved to debate, mostly over who was the favorite, all in good fun, of course.

She was blessed with 5 children, Terri Ferguson (Bud) of Snyder, Virgil Roberts (Vera) of Fort Morgan, Patty Lowe (Dan) of Thedford, Nebraska, Becky Smith of Fort Morgan and Michele Stockham (Jason) of Evans, CO. She was also a loving Grandmother to12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

While living in Wisconsin, she met her first husband Virgil Roberts, after a vacation to Colorado they both fell in love with the mountains and relocated to the front range. They later divorced but remained close. She later met and married her 2nd husband Floyd Webb. She and Floyd lived in the Denver area and moved to Arkansas shortly before Floyd's passing after which she moved to Brush. She then met her love of 25 years Robert 'Bob' Danielsen and her family grew by 3 more children Mike Danielsen (Lisa), Randy Danielsen (Jackie) and Penny Leonard (Allen) all of the Brush area Along with 8 more grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She received her GED in 1995 from MCC and was so proud to be able to walk with her daughters Becky and Patty at their GED ceremony from NJC later the same year. She continued her education at MCC taking several computer courses and receiving certificates.

Before her retirement Joan worked in multiple management positions in the

food/restaurant industry. After her retirement she worked part time in the

cafeteria for the Brush School District for several years.

Joan was an active member in several Moose Lodges around Colorado, Denver 21and the Greeley/Evans lodge, where she earned cap and gown which is an honor of higher degree and took part in many ceremonies. She and Bob loved to travel to the many Moose conventions and made several trips to Moose heart and Moose Haven, two of the Moose's most rewarding charitable affiliations, which became dear two both of their hearts.

She enjoyed fishing, loved dancing and spending time in fellowship with her friends and family. She and Bob were often seen having a meal and socializing at the local restaurants. She loved to crochet and enjoyed teaching many of her grand and great grandchildren her talent to crochet.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd and 7 of her siblings. She is survived by her love, Bob Danielsen, sisters, Geraldine Drews and Charlotte Spengler, her 8 children and many grandchildren.
