Joanna Windolph, 82, life resident of Morgan County, passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, June 20, 2021. She was born September 2, 1938 in Fort Morgan to Samuel & Christina Wacker.
Joanna graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1956. On August 19, 1958, she married Ronald L. Windolph Sr in Brush. Joanna worked at several jobs, including bookkeeper for Lane Wells and Dr. Donald Tibbetts, a farm wife & Mother. She was a very creative lady. She was an inventor, an artist, a sewer, a fantastic cook, a wedding cake baker & decorator. She always enjoyed growing flowers and especially working in her garden and canning the vegetables and fruit the garden produced. She loved her family deeply and especially enjoyed all her grandchildren. Joanna was also a longtime member of the Hillrose United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald, 2 children, Ronald L. Windolph Jr and his fiancé Pam Yeager of Fort Morgan, and Chyrissa (Roy) Hendrix of Sanger, TX; 4 grandchildren, Chance Hendrix of Littleton, CO, Clayton Hendrix of Valley View, TX, Pamela (Jesse) Koch of Brush and Austin Danielsen of Fort Morgan; and three great grandchildren, Lorin, Cole and Morgin Koch. Also by 2 brothers Wendel Wacker & Edwin Wacker both of Fort Morgan; 3 sisters Marjorie Poe of Sharon Springs, KS, Berneice Turcott and Grace Davis both of Fort Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 25, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Akron Cemetery in Akron, CO. Those attending are requested to bring their own lawn chair.
