John W. McNabb Jr., 52, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at the Medical Center of the Rockies near Loveland, CO. He was born September 26, 1959, in Hobbs, NM to John & Merna McNabb.. John has lived in NE Colorado most all his life. He graduated from Holyoke High School in 1977. He served in the US Marine Corp for several years. Prior to ill health forcing his retirement, John worked as a service tech in the irrigation equipment industry. John has been with Glenda Mohrlang – Dempsey since 1994. He loved his work, helicopters, and photography, especially taking photos of his family. Survivors include his wife, Glenda of Brush; 3 children, Jon McNabb of Firth, NE, Jennifer Lindquist of Loveland, CO, and Sean McNabb of Lakewood, CO; 1 step-son Bradley Dempsey of Loveland; his Mother, Merna Olson of Holyoke, CO; 1 sister, Clydette Schure of Sterling, CO; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Father, John McNabb, his step-father, Harry J. Olson; 2 sisters, Lisa and Jerri, and 1 brother, Clarence. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Christ Congregational Church, 730 Ensign Street in Fort Morgan. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and VFW #2551. Interment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush on Monday from 4 – 7 PM.
