Obituary

John D. Miner, 61, of Fort Morgan, CO., passed away April 1, 2012. He was born on January 28, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa, to James K. and Helen P. Miner. He attended school in Fort Morgan and then two years of college at Colorado State University. After school, he worked with his brother in the family business, Builder's Aggregate, of which he was also co-owner. John was a very intelligent and extremely kind and generous man who always had time to spend with his family and friends and who would give to those that he hardly even knew. He always had a funny story or joke to share and he always gave without asking for anything in return. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting, reading, and a good action movie every now and then. He will be sorely missed by many people and the world will not be the same without him. He is survived by his brothers, James Miner Sr. of Fort Morgan, Joseph B (Wendy) Miner of Oklahoma City, OK, Roger Miner of Lincoln, NE; sister, Jaccie A. (Don) Neb; nephews, Darin J. Neb, James Miner Jr.; and niece Leandra R. Neb all of Fort Morgan, Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, James K. and Helen P. Miner and his sister-in-law Connie Miner. Memorial services will be held Wednesday April 11, 2012 at 10:30 at St. Helena Catholic Church at 917 West Seventh Avenue in Fort Morgan, CO. The service will conclude at the Church. The Heer & Dahl mortuaries are in charge of the cremation arrangements.
