John J Romero Jr, 70, lifelong resident of Brush, CO passed away at Devonshire Acres in Sterling, CO on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. He was born to John J Romero Sr. and May D. Romero on October 11, 1954.

John was preceded in death by both his parents; grandmother, Frances Garcia; niece, Alexandria "Zana" Mendoza; and nephew Brian L. Ailts.

Survivors include two sisters, Yvonne Castilleja, and Loretta Romero; five brothers, Julius, Anthony, Mark, Roland, and Matthew Romero; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

John's favorite thing to do was watch sports. He loved the Denver Broncos and the Brush Beetdiggers.  When he was still able to walk, he loved to go to the baseball fields at the Brush park and watch the games. He could tell you anything you wanted to know about sports. He also liked to draw, listen to music, sing, and spend time with his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Inurnment will follow at Brush Memorial Cemetery.
