John W. Weimer, 65, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Friday, August 22, 2008, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born November 19, 1942, in Fort Morgan, to John & Ruth Weimer. Following his junior year in high school, John began farming with his Father. He farmed until 1998. He also worked part-time for Archie Glazier and later for Morgan County Feeders. On February 20, 1977, John married Phyllis Yearous in Fort Morgan. Before his health began to fail, John was a member of the Fort Morgan Saddle Club, the Elks Lodge, and Christ Congregational Church. He loved working with horses. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, of Fort Morgan; 2 children, Melissa King and Stuart Weimer both of Fort Morgan; 2 step-children, Kim Warner of Fort Morgan and Richard Hudson of Vancouver, WA; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Larry Weimer, Les Weimer, and Evelyn Columbia all of Fort Morgan; his sister-in-law, Kaye Weimer of Aiken, SC; 3 grandchildren, Trenton King, Tyson King, and Maykayla Henson; 4 step-grandchildren, Monica Jimenez, Nick Jimenez, Brandi Warner, and Kyle Daniels; and 5 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin, and his Father. At John's request, no services will be held. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Heer Mortuaries & Crematory in Brush & Fort Morgan.
