It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathan "Jon" David Andrews, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Jon departed this world on Friday, December 8th, at his home in Ft. Morgan, Colorado.

Born in Glen Cove, New York on August 25th, 1955 to David and Edith Andrews, his family moved to Boulder, CO in 1959, where Jon grew up.  They moved to Loveland, CO in 1970.  Jon graduated from Loveland High School and recently enjoyed celebrating his 50th Class Reunion with friends and classmates from Loveland High School Class of 1973. In 1980, he embraced a new chapter in Ft. Morgan, Colorado, where he would remain a lifelong resident.

Jon's life was a tapestry woven with significant achievements and unwavering dedication. For nearly two decades, he served as a Snap-On tool dealer, showcasing his commitment to excellence. In 1980, he embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by opening Budget Tapes and Records in Ft. Morgan and Aurora, Colorado. The Ft. Morgan Budget evolved into Budget Tapes and CD's and later transformed into Downtown Sound, leaving an indelible mark on the local music scene.

Jon continued to exemplify his selfless spirit long after his official retirement. His post-retirement endeavors ranged from mowing lawns to tree watering, snow removal, stereo installations, and various community services. Jon's willingness to lend a helping hand knew no bounds, and his skills seemed boundless. There was nothing he couldn't do or fix.

A devoted member of the Snyder Bible Church, Jon's faith was a cornerstone of his life. A devout Christian, he maintained a strong relationship with the Lord, living by Christian principles and spreading kindness to all he encountered. His work ethic was unparalleled; Jon was recognized as the hardest worker and busiest man, taking pride in every task he undertook.

Beyond his professional life, Jon was a man of many passions. His hobbies included tinkering and refurbishing, playing the guitar, enjoying diverse music genres, and collecting tools. A lover of challenges, he found joy in solving sudoku puzzles, riding his bike, playing cards with friends, and taking pride in his beloved Chevy truck, Moses.

In 1992, Jon met the love of his life, Mary Ann, and on May 8, 1993, they embarked on a beautiful 30-year marriage filled with shared adventures, including travels to Mexico and Arizona.

Jon's family was the center of his universe. Jon shared a close relationship with his two older sisters, Carol (Jim) Mathews and Nancy (Chris) Lange. He shared a special bond with his daughter, Charity, engaging in heartfelt conversations about life, business, shared love of music, and the simple joys of being in the sunshine or on a beach.

Jon had a way of relating to people that endeared his friends and family to him as much for the mystery as for the annoyance—he was notorious for coming and going on his own terms. It became his signature style, and most of his interactions were marked by it.

It is believed by those nearest to him that Jon despised goodbyes, leaving all but a choice few with a similar experience: With you, but never long enough. Departing, but never sufficient warning. Gone, but never forgotten.

Jon's legacy lives on through his wife, Mary Ann, stepson Aaron (Dawn) Amaya and grandson Blake of Denver, CO stepdaughter Sarah (Andrew) Hunt and granddaughter Karli Ormiston of Denver, CO and granddaughter Taylor Ormiston and great-granddaughter Isabella Wankel of Denver, CO. Additionally, his daughter, Charity (Scott) Schreiner, and grandsons Jonathan "Xander" Schreiner and Michael "Isaac" Schreiner of Loveland, CO, mourn his passing.

He is also survived by his two sisters Carol (Jim) Mathews, Nancy (Chris) Lange, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins, and a multitude of friends, all of whom share in the sorrow of his departure.

A man of immense generosity, resilience, and love, Jon Andrews will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In our hearts, his memory will forever resonate as a testament to a life well lived and a spirit that touched countless lives. May he rest in eternal peace.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 19, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Snyder Bible Church, 2622 Fisher Ave, Snyder, CO 80750.
