Jose D. Blanco, of Fort Morgan, CO, peacefully passed away on May 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Jose was born on June 30, 1923 to Lucio and Enedina Blanco in La Magdelena, Balleza, Chihuahua, Mexico.

After a 10 year career in the Colorado Uranium Mines, he spent 50 years working for the Roth Brothers Farms in Wiggins, CO. He was a beloved and respected employee who grew to be a part of the Roth family.

Jose was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 2 sisters: 2 grandchildren, Jacob, Elric and four great grandchildren, Aubriana, Matthew, Liliana and Lucio.

He is survived by his wife, Raquel; 9 children, Nadine Hall, Veronica Franco, Jose Blanco Jr., Enrique Blanco, Annette Quezada, Margaret Blanco, Alma Blanco, Lawrence Blanco, and Rosalinda Morrill; 46 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, along with countless other extended family members.

He spent 42 years dedicated to his loving wife, Raquel Leon Medina. We would like to take this opportunity to express our immense love and gratitude for all the unwavering love and support she has shown him throughout those years.

Please join us in celebrating Jose's amazing 99 years of life. Viewing and Recitation of The Holy Rosary will be held at Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4-7 PM. A funeral Service will be held at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan. A reception will follow at Saint Helena's Catholic Church basement.
