Jose C. Contreras, 59, died Saturday, December 2, 2006 at his apartment at Hillcrest in Fort Morgan. He was born May 8, 1947, in Loredo, TX, to Tranquilino & Antonia Contreras. He has lived in Morgan County for over 40 years. He had worked for area farms before his health forced him to retire.. Survivors include his Mother, Antonia Contreras of Loredo, TX; 4 children, Jose Contreras Jr. of Brush, Augustine Contrareras of Denver, Anita Contreras and Maria Contreras both of UT; 4 sisters, Yolanda Gaitan, Josie Mata, Sophie Gonzalez, and Nati Palacios and 1 brother, Fidel all of Texas; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 son, Justo and Sabino; 1 sister, Alexandra, and his Father. Graveside Services will be Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Fort Morgan Thursday from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM..
