Jose (Joe) Lopez Cardona was born July 18, 1928, in Mexico. He went to eternal rest on June 18, 2024, in Greeley, Colorado. After coming to the United States, he met Mary Canales Segura and married her on July 25, 1958, in Wiggins, Colorado. Jose and Mary Cardona had 9 Children and they raised the family in a farming community. Jose enjoyed his life; he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

Jose is survived by Juan Aguilar, Josefina (Fernando) Sifuentes, Enrique Cardona, Simon Cardona, Jesse Cardona, Joe (Amber) Cardona, Alfredo Cardona, Albert Cardona, 31 Grandchildren, 79 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.

He is Preceded in Death by his Wife, Mary Cardona, Son, Gilbert, Grandson, Kaptian

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 9 AM at Saint Helena's Catholic Church with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 10:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will conclude at the church with a reception in the Monsignor Dinan Hall.
