Jose M. Padilla Jr., 87, formerly of Brush, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 at his home in Lakewood, Colorado.

He was born December 3, 1932 Costilla, New Mexico to Jose Sr. and Julia (Trujillo) Padilla.

Jose married Dorothy Santistevan in San Acacio, Colorado in 1955.

He enjoyed traveling, his friends, dining in restaurants and visiting Central City.  Jose was a very proud and social person who's catch phrase was "Kansas City Here I Come".

Survivors include, children, Dusty Strobel (Bob) of Arlington, Texas, Diana J. Vazquez (Jorge), Christine Robinson (James), and Jose M. Padilla III, all of Lakewood, Colorado, grandchildren, Stefanie Lynn, Sirenia, Nickie, Mark, Van, Bo, and Willie.

Jose was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, one daughter, Joyce Angelo, and his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 10:30 am at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Brush.

Interment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery.
