On June 21,2021, Jose Canales Segura, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away at the age of 77. Jose passed away surrounded by family and friends at his son's home in Littleton, CO.

Jose was born March 24 1944 to Simon and Eusebia (Canales) Segura in Goodrich CO. Jose worked as a farm laborer in Morgan County as a young man and later in the meatpacking industry. Jose was known to many as Uncle Joe.  Jose married Mary Louise Segura on August 16,1964 at The Spanish Colony in Morgan County CO. They raised four children, Joe Jr. of Brush, Gabriel of Fort Morgan, Steven of Littleton and Deanna Segura of Fort Morgan, CO.  Jose and Mary have 10 living grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

Jose loved his Colorado sports teams especially the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.  Uncle Joe was known for his kind generosity to anyone in need. He had a fond love for animals. If possible, he'd own everyone and care for them in his backyard.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary; brothers, Maximo, Zenon, Pablo, Raymond; sisters, Micaela, Juagina, Maria and 4 grandchildren.

A visitation will be on Thursday, June 24th, 2021 from 4-7 PM with Recitation of the Holy Rosary following. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
