Josefina Janas, 62, of Fort Morgan, passed away on Saturday, May 6th 2023, after a battle with cancer. Josefina was born on September 5, 1960 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Bernardo Martinez and Maria Belen Garcia.

Josefina was a very loving person, one whose smile could light up the room. Josefina loved having all her family together, whether it be special occasions or cookouts. She loved birds and she loved her two precious dogs, Campanita and Tina. Her all-time favorite hobby was plants; she was the biggest plant lover you'd ever meet. She will be dearly missed.

She leaves behind her two children, Anibal & Nayeli Martinez; and her partner, David Portillo as well as her siblings and many more family members.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 15, 2023, from 4-7 PM at Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 12:00 PM at the Seventh-day Adventist Church 700 Meeker Street in Fort Morgan. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
