Joseph Michael Contreras passed away on December 10, 2021 at the young age of 32. He was born September 12, 1989 to Angel & Erin Contreras in Ft Morgan, CO.

Anyone who knew Joe would say he was a tough guy. Which to him you definitely couldn't tell him any different. He was a jack of all trades and could do anything he set his heart on. For instance, when he was around 4 years old, he got his bike stuck in a ditch. No one knew he was stuck, but he pulled himself and the bike out. Family members would say he was independent from the time he was born.

Joseph was hard working from early on. He helped his parents run their window washing business. He knew there was always a way to help with whatever he could. He was determined, dedicated, and would give anyone the shirt off his back. One person whom he loved immensely and was always calling him for help was his sister, Elexis. He never failed to say "I love you ugly" anytime he saw her or if he had to go help her with projects.

Joseph landed a job in 2007 at 18 with Leprino Foods, where he dedicated 10 years. He enjoyed it but most importantly wanted to ensure he and his three amazing little boys were taken care of. They meant more than anything to him.

In 2013, Joseph met his match, the love of his life, Desirae Contreras (Trujillo). With that he gained two more amazing children, Nevaeh and Ja'Sian. At last, he knew his family was complete. Joseph & Desirae later married in the summer of 2018 and have shared every moment loving each other and their beautiful children unconditionally.

Joseph is proceeded in death by his grandpa, Ernie Madrid, grandma, Sally Cervantes and grandpa, Rudy Contreras.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Desirae Contreras; his five children, Isiah, Domonic, Joseph Jr, Nevaeh, & Ja'Sian; his only sister, Elexis Flores (Chris); his parents, Angel & Erin Contreras all of Ft Morgan; his in-laws, Bill & Marie Garcia of Ft Morgan; sister in-law Daniela Trujillo of Ft Morgan; two brother in-laws, Eric Garcia (Morgen) of Ft Morgan and Zach Garcia (Fernando) of Colorado Springs; nieces, Mariah Martinez, Lyric and Nahla Flores and Kaleena Osburn; two nephews, Chris Flores and Trae Romero, also of Ft Morgan; grandparents Linda & Sam Russler of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

There will be a service of farewell at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush for Joseph Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 1:00PM. A private Burial will be held at a later date for immediate family.
