Obituary

Josephine C. Green claimed victory over an 8 year battle with Parkinson's disease on Sunday, April 1, 2007. at the age of 70. She was born May 26, 1936, in Greeley, CO, to John & Ruth Moore. The Moore family moved to Fort Morgan in 1948. After graduation from Fort Morgan High School, Jo attended college and then beauty college. On August 26, 1955, she married Eugene E. Green in Fort Morgan. The Green's farmed with John Moore. Her faith in God was the driving force of her life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend who brought joy to family, friends and community. A licensed beautician, she generously styled hair for anybody who asked, and was equally at home driving truck for harvest, singing in the church choir, and traveling in the motor home camping with her husband... Always active in church, Jo was a former member of the United Presbyterian Church and Grace Bible Church, and most recently a member of the Snyder Bible Church. She led Bible studies, taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Awana, and sang solos. Survivors include her husband, Eugene of Fort Morgan; 1 daughter, Debra Green of Fort Morgan, 1 son, Michael, and his wife, Sherri, and 3 grandchildren of Holcomb, KS; her brother, Laurence Moore of Blacksburg, VA, and her sister, Janice Garvey of Redmond, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at 1:30 PM at the Snyder Bible Church in Snyder, CO. Inurnment will follow in Serenity Falls Columbarium in Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuaries & Crematory are entrusted with the arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Snyder Bible Church or to Hospes of Morgan County c/o the Mortuary.
