Joyce LaVeta Jo Nicholson Blake passed away peacefully on February 13, 2023. She was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on June 27, 1937 and graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1955. The plains of eastern Colorado were her home during her lifetime.

Joyce had many interests; writing, bowling, ceramics, and crocheting to mention a few. She enjoyed spending time with her dearly loved children and grandchildren, extended family, friends, and being active in church.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Minnie Miller; her husbands, Kenneth Blake and Delbert Henry; Sisters Maxine Crane and Sue Miller; great-granddaughter Natalie Grace Miller; and nieces, Debbie Taylor, Sandy Pastula and Leona Anderson.

Joyce is survived by sons, Kenny (Ginger) Blake of Fort Morgan, Colorado; Dale (Kathy) Blake of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Rocky (Wendy) Blake of Wiggins, Colorado; daughter Darnell Blake of Fort Morgan, Colorado; 13 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren; two sister, Dorothy Taylor of Tucson, Arizona and Darlinda Sutton of Fort Morgan, Colorado; two brothers, Roy McGee of Denver, Colorado and Mike Miller of Fort Morgan, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2023 at Brush Church of the Nazarene, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at God's Little Acre Cemetery in Woodrow, Colorado (4 miles east of Woodrow on County Road 29).
