Joyce Elaine Brooks, 70, of Evans, died December 26, 2021 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born July 10, 1951 in Akron to Paul & Eunice (Richardson) Gebauer.

Joyce attended Brush schools and graduated from Brush High School in 1969. She married Larry Miller Sr. and they farmed in the area until 1980. At that time, Joyce attended MCC where she received her certification in bookkeeping. She worked as the typesetter for the Brush News Tribune for several years. After she and Larry's divorce, Joyce moved to Greeley where she later met and married Robert Brooks. She began her 30-year career at Central Security in Greeley where she was currently running the billing department at the time of her death.

Joyce enjoyed reading, crocheting, music, her pets, going for walks, and watching classic movies; but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Miller of Ridgecrest, CA and Tim Miller of Evans; her sister, Jonelle Grenhagen; brothers, Mark Gebauer and Marvin Gebauer; two grandchildren, Logan Miller and Joanna Wager; and great grandchildren, Mikaylyn and Bruce.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Brooks; and her sisters, Janet Gebauer and Judy Gibson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 11 ^th at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 PM
