Joyce Friehauf, 59, Life long Brush area resident died Monday afternoon at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, after suffering a stroke. She was born January 3, 1951 in Brush to Euel and Lois Morgan. She married Duane Friehauf May 29, 1970 in Brush. They lived in Wichita, KS for three years and then in Greeley for two years before making Brush their home in 1975. She was working for the Chamber Of Commerce and running her computer company at the time of her death. She previously worked for Morgan County in the Department of Social Services and the Brush High School as a secretary. She spent some terms on the East Morgan County Library board of directors. She enjoyed reading, quilting, baking, gardening, going camping fishing and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and granddaughters. She and her granddaughters liked to make candles,soaps, shampoo and lip gloss. She cared for everyone, she opened her home to anyone in need of a meal or a place to stay. She is survived by her husband Duane of Brush, one son Matthew Friehauf of Evans, two daughters April Ramirez of Greeley, and Amanda Villarreal of Brush, two sisters Pat Morgan of Ft. Morgan and Harriett White of Snyder, and 6 granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10:30 am at the Snyder Bible Church in Snyder. The service will conclude at the church.
