Joyce Elaine (Tibbetts) Gibson, 64, of Fort Morgan, passed away on September 19, 2023, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born on July 6th, 1959, in Fort Morgan, Colorado, to Oscar and Marian Tibbetts. She grew up with two brothers, Roger Tibbetts and Clifford Tibbetts, and a sister, Rhonda (Tibbetts) Keithline, and proceeded in death by her sister Karen Louise Tibbetts.

Joyce married Roger Gibson on August 6th, 1977, and they shared 46 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to her three children and three stepchildren, and a caring and proud grandma and great grandma.

Joyce is survived by her mother, Marian Tibbetts; husband, Roger Eric Gibson of Fort Morgan; her brothers and sister; three children, Michael (Shenna) Gibson, of Grand Junction, CO, Cameron James Gibson of Fort Morgan, CO, and Crystal (Isaiah) Valdez, of Longmont, CO; and three step-children, Matthew Raven of Tacoma, Washington, Jennifer Wallingford of Cincinnati, Ohio, and proceeded in death by Rene Lowry of Ohio. Joyce was a proud grandma to 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Joyce was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be Monday, September 25th from 4 – 6 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 26th at 10:30 AM at Morgan Church of the Nazarene, 221 W. Seventh Ave. in Fort Morgan. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan on Tuesday at 2:00 PM
