Joyce M. Meng, 88, longtime area resident, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.  She was born May 29, 1931, in Johnsburg, NY to Russell & Gladys Hills.

Joyce married Howard Meng on July 20, 1957, at the Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan.  After working as a secretary for several years, she joined her husband in working their ranching operation.

In earlier years, Joyce attended the Chapel of the Plains in Stoneham, CO.  She played the piano for the worship team.  After moving into Fort Morgan, Joyce attended Life Fellowship.   She loved being Grandma to her grandson, Samuel.  She also enjoyed traveling with her daughter Julie.

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Toni Miller and Julie Geist both of Fort Morgan; 1 sister, Lois Yandon; 2 brothers, Richard (Rose) Hills, and Don (Vivian) Hills and her grandson, Samuel Howard Miller.  She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 brother, John, and her parents.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Life Fellowship in Fort Morgan.  The service will conclude at the church with a reception.  The Heer Mortuary & Crematory is entrusted with cremation arrangements.  Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway in Charlotte, NC  28201.
