JOYCE SLAMA, 78, longtime Fort Morgan resident, died Monday morning, November 7, 2011 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born in Trenton, NE on October 23, 1933 to Roland & Pearl (Hinkle) Barritt. She married Clifford Slama in Wray on March 11, 1955. They have lived in the Fort Morgan area nearly 30 years. Mrs. Slama worked for GMAC and then Osborne Chevrolet dealership before her retirement. She enjoyed knitting and doing embroidery. Survivors include her husband, Clifford Slama of Fort Morgan; three sons, Michael Slama of Fort Morgan, Steven Slama of Highlands Ranch, and Scott Slama of Denver; her sister, Patty Sipila of Washington, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Don Barritt; and her daughter, Jeanette Slama. Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 10th at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the chapel.
