Joyce A. Temple, 75, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Saturday evening, November 18, 2006, at her home near Fort Morgan. She was born July 7, 1931, in Brush, To Theodore & Maren Christensen. Joyce was confirmed at the old Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush on May 5, 1941. She graduated from the Brush High School in 1949. On August 5, 1951, Joyce married Harold Temple in Brush. She was a cook for the Fort Morgan School District until she retired in 1992. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush, Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center Auxiliary, and Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed helping people and taking them to various appointments, working with the girl scouts, playing bridge, and attending her children and grandchildren's activities. She was very active with the all school reunion committee, and her class of 1949 committees until her ill health forced her to stop. Survivors include her husband, Harold of Fort Morgan; 6 children, Sandra Cook, Kenneth Temple, Krista Trimbach and Patricia Foiles all of Brush; Keith Temple and David Temple both of Fort Morgan; 4 brothers, Wex Christensen of Carbondale, CO, Paul Christensen of Riverton, WY, Dean Christensen of Snyder, CO, and John Christensen of Centennial, CO; 12 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Monday from 5 -7 PM. A memorial service will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 Custer Street in Brush on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Private family inurnment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery Columbarium.
