Judith Alice Myers, 63, of Fort Morgan, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush.

She was born in Indiana on February 28, 1961, the daughter of Harold & Edith Hughes. She grew up in Indiana and California before moving to Florida where she met her future husband, Steve Myers. They were married on May 5, 1996. In 2006, Judy and Steve made their way back to Fort Morgan.

Most all her working life, Judy managed grocery stores. She loved riding motorcycles and was a member of ABATE of Colorado. Judy also loved the mountains. She had a particularly soft spot for children, and she loved to help kids in need.

Judy is survived by her husband, Steve Myers of Fort Morgan; two daughters, Sharon Abernathy of La Crosse, WI, and Jessica (John) Wood of St. Leonard, MD; grandchildren, Felicity Daniel, Tyler Huynh, Christian Patterson, Lillian Wood, Scarlett Wood, and Eddie Wood; and two brothers, Rusty Hughes of Phoenix, AZ and Beau (Marlene) Hughes of Ojai, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Genia, Johnny, Chuck, and Benny.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 20th at 3:00 PM at Westside Customs, 15859 US Highway 34 in Fort Morgan.
