Julia E. Padialla, 95, longtime Brush resident, passed away Monday, August 14, 2006, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born December 18, 1910, in Costilla, NM. On February 28, 1932, Julia married Manuel Padilla in Costilla, NM. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. She enjoyed working in her garden where she had both flowers & vegetables. Survivors include her children, Jose Manuel Padilla of Denver, Phil of Pasco, WA, Benito of Amarillo, TX, Eugene of Denver and Peter of Reno, NV, Ruby Herrera, Tina Bruning, and Genevieve Loose all of Brush; 83 grandchildren & great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary in Brush on Friday from 10 - 7:30. A rosary & vigil service will be held at 7:30 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel.
