Julie Ann Boes of Fort Morgan, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family in her home on July 18, 2025. Julie was born in Salina, KS to Herman Clarence Hammer and Ava Beth Thompson (Hammer) in 1952. Julie was the third oldest out of eight children, Herman, Avalynn, Julie, Marcia, Rexine, Michael, Shelly and Shawn.

Julie and her family moved around a lot when she was young. In 1986 they moved to Fort Morgan, CO and fell in love, so Fort Morgan is where they stayed. Julie was a dedicated mom and raised her three daughters, mostly on her own.

In 2000, Julie met the love of her life, Omer Boes. They got married on June 6, 2009. Julie gained a wonderful stepson, Jeremy Boes. Julie spent most of her adult life as a homemaker, loving and caring for their family with all her heart. Julie also enjoyed making things for her family, which included sewing, crocheting, and baking their favorite treats.

Julie is survived by her husband, Omer of Colorado; her daughter, Kalene (Adan) Quezada of Colorado; her stepson, Jeremy Boes of Tennessee; her granddaughters, Kara (Alex) Hartless of Washington, Shaylene (Sheldon) Whitmer of Iowa, Alyssa Cook of Colorado, Leslie Cook of Colorado, and Jadyn Beardsley of Colorado; great grandchildren, Ross, Mileena, Shepard, and Lillyanna; her brothers, Michael (Cindy) Hammer of Texas, Shawn (Heather) Hammer of Texas; and sister, Rexine Woolington of Wyoming and several deeply loved  nieces and nephews.

Julie is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ava Hammer; sisters, Shelly Hammer, Marcia Allen, Avalynn Frink; brother, Herman Hammer Jr.; her daughters, Beth Cook and Larissa Beardsley and her granddaughter, Shayanna.

A celebration of Life will be held in Julie's honor on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at her and Omer's home. Memorials may be sent in C/O Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
