Obituary

Julie Ann Degenhart passed away at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley Colorado on December 17, 2021 after becoming ill with COVID.

Julie will be greatly missed by her Family and Friends. Julie took being a mother very serious, and was a loved sister and daughter. Those who knew Julie, and considered her a friend know all too well the loss this is to so many. Julie made all of her friends feel like they were her best friends, and she treated them as such. Julie was always willing to listen to anyone's problems, and would go out of her way to help, regardless of how well she knew them. So many people had one person in mind when they needed someone in a time of crisis, or emergency, and that was Julie. She would drive to another state just to give someone a ride if she was asked to. When so many people had great news, they wanted to share, Julie was who they chose to share that with. Julie had a natural interaction with children, and they would bond with her like she had always been part of their life. Julie was a very forgiving person, and was never one to throw the past in anybody's face. Julie did not have the ability to hold a grudge, and was a quality so many of her friends greatly respected her for. Julie had a love for animals, even for those who had no homes, and she took in strays without hesitation. Her generosity was as contagious as her smile was for those lucky enough to witness it.

She was born in Morgan County on Sept 7, 1968. She grew up on a farm East of Fort Morgan with her parents, Jack, and Shirley (Will) Degenhart and her brother, Joel Degenhart. Julie graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1986 and then attended Cosmology school in Greeley, which then started her career as a Cosmetologist. Those who had their hair done by Julie wanted Julie to be the one who took care of their hair needs religiously. She married and had a son, Bronson Lenhardt, who was her world. Julie's mom duties were generously shared with her friend's kids, by regularly picking up kids from school as well as other countless gestures.

Those who had Julie in their life were blessed by her presence and it will be an adjustment to go on without her.

She is survived by her brother, Joel Degenhart; her son, Bronson Lenhardt; her uncle, Larry Degenhart; and aunt, Margeret Rogers; and her nephews, Alex, Jack, and Klayton Degenhart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Shirley Degenhart.
