June M. Dudden, 72, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, following a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 10, 1938, in Champion, NE, to Ned & Mae Hiatt. On October 23, 1955, June married Darrel Dudden, In Holyoke, CO. After living in Denver for twenty years, the Dudden family moved to Hillrose in 1974. June enjoyed sewing, gardening, music, traveling, working with miniature horses, and cooking. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hillrose until it closed. Currently, June & Darrel are members of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. Survivors include her husband, Darrel; daughters, Peggy Powell, and her husband, Charles of Dalton, NE, and Susan McDaniel of Sterling; sons, Dan Dudden, and his wife, Kim, of Hillrose, Rick Dudden, and his wife, Teresa, of Fort Lupton, CO; her son-in-law, Paul Moya of Johnstown, CO; brother, Bob Hiatt, sister, Ruth Pillard; grandchildren, Monica, Steve, Misty, Jennifer, Angie, Aaron, Tiffany, Joshua, and Chelsea; great grandchildren, Jessica, Madison, Michayla, Alyssa, Machenzy, Michael, Abigail, Alexandria, Anton, and Zara. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Vicky Moya; 1 brother, Alvin Hiatt; 1 sister, Ila Walcott, and her parents. Funeral services will be Monday, June 21, 2010, at 10:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 Custer Street in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush on Sunday from 2 – 5 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the June Dudden Memorial Fund c/o Heer & Dahl Mortuary.
