June E. Stoops, 91, longtime Brush area resident, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born February 24, 1921, in Huron, SD, to Clifford & Eda Martin. June married Frank D. Stoops on December 13, 1941, in Brush. The Stoops family farmed south of Brush for many years. June managed the Drovers Restaurant at the Livestock Exchange in Brush for about 20 years. Survivors include 1 son, F. D. Stoops Jr. of Wickenburg, AZ. and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, Ron and his wife Karen and 1 grandson, Greg, and her parents. A private graveside service was held at the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
