Karen Kay Sagel, long time Morgan County resident, passed away December 28, 2021, in Brush at the age of 67.  She was born in Brush, January 12, 1954, to Melvin and Clara (Johnson) Marick.

Karen was a devoted and beloved waitress at many restaurants in the Morgan County area for many years. Majority of her years were spent working at the famed, Drovers. She was well known, and is often referred to as the best in the waitressing business. Karen enjoyed listening and dancing to music, Janis Joplin and The Beatles were two of her favorites. She enjoyed watching baseball and hockey, but her all time favorite pastime was visiting with and enjoying the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Karen was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, sister, and friend and will be dearly missed by many.

Karen is survived by her husband John Sagel; two sons, Michael Allen (Dakota) Luark and Mark Anthony (Suzie) Luark; grandchildren, Crystal Luark, Lakota Luark, Khoury Luark, Shelby Compton, Deanna Luark, Kyle Luark, Andrew Luark, Michael Luark, Jenna Luark and Shaena Luark; great grandchildren, Sadie Ford, Jayce Luark and Bret Ford. She is also survived by her siblings, Helen Anderson, Orpha (Gilbert) Gimbel, Billy Marick, Betty Marick and Linda (Nick) Vigil.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Monty Andrew Luark; and three siblings, Nelle (Francis) Denning, Jimmy Marick and Randy Marick.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday January 5 ^th at the Carroll Building in Brush at 1:00pm.
