Kathryn M. Martinez, 89, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at the Harmony Home in Fort Morgan.  She was born April 28, 1932, in Orchard, CO to Apollinar & Anita Davilla.

Kathryn attended school in Orchard.  On May 27, 1955 she married Louis E. Martinez in Fort Morgan.  Kathryn worked in food service many years.  Her employment locations included Park Terrace Inn and Fort Morgan School District.

Kathryn was a member of Platte Valley Baptist Church.  Her favorite activity was spent with her family.

Survivors include her children, Steve, Ricky (Lily), Danny (Karla), Ramona (Joe) Becker, Teri (Dan) Strange, Sherry (James) Wightman, and Kenny; 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, Emilio, and infant brother, her sister Mollie Padilla, and her parents.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 28, at 11:00 AM at the Platte Valley Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Wednesday from 4 – 6 PM.
