Kathryn Rose (Blakesley) Roth was born on June 4, 1931 in Haxtun, Colorado to Glenn Blakesley and Rose Alice Goodman Blakesley. She passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Morgan, Colorado with her loving family surrounding her.

Kathryn graduated from Holyoke High School in May 1950. She married Max Grantham on September 24, 1950 at the First Baptist Church in Holyoke, Colorado. Six children were born to this union: Cherie, Carmen, Steve, Sandi, Joe and Debbie.

Her husband, Max passed away in October 1966. She married Roger Krueger in August 1968 at Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke, Colorado and became stepmother to Roger's three children, Arley, Roxanne, and Tim. Kathryn attended NJC and received her license practicing nursing degree in August 1974. She worked as a nurse until her retirement at the age of 67. Her husband, Roger, passed away in February 1997. She married John Ruth on June 12, 1999, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. John passed away in August 2017.

Kathryn's favorite pastimes were reading, sewing and watching old movies. She loved being around her family and especially hearing about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and positive attitude about life. She had a strong faith and love for our Lord and attended church service at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Alice Blakesly; brother, Earl Blakesly; sisters, Lorraine Davidson, Holly Lane; her husband, Max Grantham, Roger Krueger, John Roth; daughters, Cherie Grantham, Carmen Grantham; son, Joe Grantham, and stepdaughter, Roxanne Krueger.

She is survived by son, Steve Grantham (Vonna); daughters, Sandi Ertle (Bob), Debbie Helgoth (Randy); step sons, Arley Krueger (Susan), Tim Krueger; grandchildren, Aaron Hewitt, Bill Hewitt, Wes Plank, Mitch Plank, Justin Helgoth, Lindsay Helgoth Walter (Kyle), Kelly Pauli, Vannesa Grantham, Cory Krueger, Gail Enterline; great grandchildren, Katelyn Plank, Braxton Plank, Brayden Plank, Charlei Plank, Gage Helgoth, Gradyn Helgoth, and Addison Helgoth.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Lutheran Church of our Redeemer in Fort Morgan. Interment will be on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
