KATIE SCHMICK, 92, lifelong Fort Morgan resident, died Sunday afternoon, October 14, 2007 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born April 29, 1915 in Fort Morgan to George & Anna (Sagel) Schmick. Survivors include three sisters; Martha Bauer and Lydia Bostron, both of Fort Morgan, and Marion Brozovich of Denver, and two brothers; Henry Schmick of Greeley and Sam Schmick of Northglenn. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Gottlieb Loos; one brother, Abraham Schmick and one sister, Hannah Hughes. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 10 AM until 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00 PM, both at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan. Memorial gifts may be made to Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan or to the Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan.
