Keith Jack Lehman, 80, was born December 26, 1935 to Paul and Mony (Thinglestad) Lehman in a maternity home in Faith, South Dakota. After a long hard battle with cancer, Keith died on November 30, 2016 in Fort Morgan, Colorado.

Keith grew up on a ranch in Opal, SD and attended grades 1-8 in a one room school house. Keith and his sister rode their horses to school. Keith graduated as salutatorian from Faith South Dakota High School in 1953. He participated in football, basketball, track, and played the saxophone in band. Keith attended college at South Dakota State and Black Hills State University. He graduated from Northern State University in Aberdeen SD with degrees in business and accounting. He married Betsy King on June 29, 1957. Their son David was born in 1958.

Keith and Betsy moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1960 and purchased the Coast to Coast store. Their daughter, D'Anne was born in 1960 and another son, Daniel was born in 1961. Keith was very active in the Optimist Club and was named "man of the year". He was also a life member of BPOE.

In 1966, Keith and his family moved to Fort Morgan, CO, where he was manager of the Gambles store for several years. Keith won an all expense paid trip to Spain as top manager for the company. After leaving Gambles, Keith and Betsy, along with their lifelong business partners, Adam and Frances Trujillo, opened up their furniture stores, "Warehouse Sales" with stores in Fort Morgan, Yuma, and Sterling. They later purchased the building that was Gambles for the furniture store in Fort Morgan, where you could find Keith and Adam working together for over 35 years.

Keith and Betsy and Harold and Jean Bohm purchased the Queen Hotel in 1980 and converted it into the landmark "Queen Lounge". The two couples raised money at the bar for many years for Muscular Dystrophy and Saint Jude's. They also enjoyed traveling to Europe, Mexico, Ireland, and Wales. They took numerous cruises together. The Lehman's later acquired full ownership of the Queen properties.

Keith and Betsy bought a second home in Las Vegas, NV, where they spent many wonderful winters with their family and friends. For many years they also spent every October in Mazatlán, Mexico, where they enjoyed warm weather and the beaches.

Keith was an avid hunter and fisherman. He played golf in Las Vegas, where he scored two "Holes in One". Another passion of Keith's was playing cards, especially 10 point pitch with Margaret and Carv Thompson, Dale and Marie Ingalls, Jerry Sternad, Stu and Joan Smith, and other family and friends. Keith's goal was always to "moon" taking all the tricks. He would then make a "collect" call to his friends and family letting them know he mooned.

Keith was an active member of Saint Helena's Catholic Church, where he was a Lector for several years.

Survivors include his wife, Betsy; daughter, D'Anne (Randy) Hays; son, Daniel Lehman; grandchildren, Tyler Hays, Alisha Hays, and Isabell Lehman; step grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, Joshua Hays and their families; daughter in law, Marci Castillo and her family, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, David Lehman; his brother, Paul; sister, Jean and his in laws, Isabel and Louie King.

A Funeral Service will be held at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Serenity Falls Columbarium in the Fort Morgan Cemetery. Lunch will follow at the Queen Lounge. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Saint Helena's Catholic Church.
